All-new ProCeed 'shooting' for the top
Added: 02 October 2018
Kia Motors has released the first images of the all-new ProCeed, slated for UK launch in early 2019.
The new ProCeed will effectively replace the outgoing Pro_cee’d three-door sports coupé, which has sat on the Kia roster since 2013.
Though specifics are light on the ground at the moment, Kia has defined the all-new ProCeed as a ‘shooting brake’ – perhaps best described as a mix of the best features from a sportswagon and a coupé. Indeed, the new ProCeed is actually 5mm greater in length than the new Ceed Sportswagon and comes with five doors.
Kia has stated that the new ProCeed has been designed and constructed with European drivers in mind. The vehicle was designed exclusively in Germany and will be produced in Slovakia.
The ProCeed will be available in two trims: a ‘GT-line’ or high performance GT model. Kia’s design team have ensured that while the ProCeed will share some similarities with its namesake, the all-new Ceed, it will have its own particular individual style and performance, sharing only its bonnet and front wings with the five-door Ceed which was launched earlier in 2018.
Low, lean and lithe, the ProCeed’s stance and proportions are entirely its own.
However, it will feature many of Kia’s unique design mainstays, including Ice Cube headlights and the iconic ‘tiger nose’ grille.
The interior will also have Kia’s signature ‘floating’ infotainment system, complete with 8” satellite navigation touchscreen, plus Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity.
The new ProCeed will, of course, be covered with Kia’s industry-leading 7-year/100,000 mile warranty.
