Suzuki Ignis undergoes facelift for 2020
Added: 10 March 2020
The Suzuki Ignis has undergone a facelift for 2020. The compact SUV has renewed styling, bold new colours and an upgraded powertrain.
The distinctive design now features Suzuki’s characteristic five-spoke grille, while front and rear bumpers are finished with silver under garnishes that further accentuate its unique SUV look.
The Facelift Ignis will be available at Chapelhouse Suzuki dealerships in Southport, St Helens, Warrington, Wigan, Preston, Blackburn and Bolton from April.
Three brand new body colours are now available - Rush Yellow Metallic, Tough Khaki Pearl Metallic and Caravan Ivory Pearl Metallic – taking the total to eleven single-tone, and seven dual-tone exteriors, to choose from.
Two new interior accent colours – Lazuli Medium Blue Pearl and Medium Grey Metallic – along with a reworked instrument panel, complete the futuristic urban styling of new look Ignis.
Suzuki has also introduced the updated K12D 1.2 Dualjet engine to power the Ignis. This new dual-injection system offers both powerful response and excellent fuel efficiency.
The new Ignis’ eco credentials are enhanced further with its self-charging hybrid system. All Ignis specifications were brought in line last year to accommodate Suzuki’s mild hybrid technology.
A 10Ah lithium-ion battery – upgraded from a 3Ah battery previously – converts kinetic energy that is stored while deceleration and braking. This energy is then converted to assist acceleration, therefore saving fuel and reducing carbon emissions.
