All-New MG3 Hybrid+ - new details revealed!

MG Motor UK has confirmed the pricing and spec details of the all-new MG3 Hybrid+. MG's first fully hybrid supermini will start from just £18,495! 

The all-new MG3 Hybrid+ is available in two trim levels - SE and Trophy. The redesigned hatchback represents exceptional value, thanks to its high levels of tech as standard and efficient 1.5-litre petrol Hybrid+ engine. 

The entry level SE starts from just £18,495, with the top of the range Trophy model coming in at £20,495. 

The SE model offers an excellent level spec and tech as standard, including 16-inch alloy wheels, Sat Nav, Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, MG Pilot, and a handy reversing camera. 

The MG Pilot package of safety features includes Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Front Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Emergency Lane Keep Assist (LKAS) and Adaptive Cruise Control. 

Take the leap to the Trophy model for that added level of driver conveniences, such as 360° parking camera, heated front seats and steering wheel, keyless entry, rear privacy glass, rain sensing wipers and LED projector headlights. 

However, the biggest and most exciting feature of the all-new MG3 is its brand-new Hybrid+ system. 

The 1.5-litre petrol engine is combined with a larger than average 1.83kWh battery. This pairing offers drivers a new level of hybrid efficiency in the supermini sector. 

Not only can the new MG3 Hybrid+ achieve a highly impressive 64.2mpg, but it can also run fully on electric power for city centre driving - a real rarity for a hatchback of its size. It has a low carbon output too, with CO2 emissions of just 100g/km. 

The advanced Hybrid+ system allows for 'drive and charge' that allows the petrol engine to drive the wheels whilst also charging the battery through the generator. 

Drivers can tailor the MG3's responsiveness to differing needs with a choice of three driving modes: Eco, Standard and Sport. 

The combined power of the all-new MG3 is a class-leading 143kW, giving it a respectable 0-62mph time of 8.0 seconds.

The MG3 Hybrid+ was officially launched at the recent Geneva Motor Show. It was joined by hotly anticipated MG Cyberster - MG's first new sports car for a generation, and the mysterious MG7, sparking rumours once again that it could finally be making its way to the UK. 

As with all new MG cars, the MG3 Hybrid+ comes with the brand standard 7-year/80,000 mile warranty.
