Why Should I Check My Tyres?
The legal minimum for tread on tyres is 1.6mm* in depth, but it is recommended that tyres are changed when they reach a tread depth of 3mm. It is estimated that 10% of all road users drive with at least one illegal tyre.
If your current tyres fall below this then you are driving your car illegally and are at risk of prosecution. To check your current tread use the wear indicator across each tyre or call into your local Chapelhouse site for your tyres to be checked for you.
