Anticipating the All-New Kia Niro-EV? What We Know So Far

The Kia Niro EV will be the newest edition to the All-Electric family. Building from previous electric models, it is scheduled for its grand reveal over the coming months.

Anticipated to be one of the most capable and user-friendly EV vehicles, the Kia Niro EV will be available in three environmentally friendly and efficient options - Hybrid, Plug-in Hybrid and all-electric.

The driving range is expected to be around 287 miles or range (WLTP) and can achieve a 10-80% charge in just 43 minutes from a DC rapid charger. The environmental considerations go further than just the exterior. The interior of the Niro EV is complete with vegan leather seats and headlining made from recycled wallpaper.

The Niro EV will not just be environmentally friendly; it will also be visually pleasing, taking inspiration from 4x4s for a rugged crossover look and a re-imagined tiger face grill. It will also be available in nine colours, with the back C panels being customisable.

It is also suitable for the whole family. Being slightly larger than its predecessor, the Kia Niro EV offers a larger cabin space. The battery has also been moved from the back of the car, clearing space for a 451ltr boot. It also comes with innovative technology such as a 10.25inch cluster that Kia says 'will be easy to use with pin-sharp graphics and a highly intuitive layout,' ambient mood lighting and wireless smartphone charging.

Leading the way in electrification, Kia will launch 14 fully electric models by 2027 as part of its global 'Plan S' strategy.

The Kia Niro EV will be revealed as part of the All-Electric Experience in showrooms across the UK, giving exclusive access to the grand unveiling. It will also provide access to the fully electric EV6, the recently crowned What Car of the year and the Sportage, the striking SUV that Kia launched earlier this year.
