Chapelhouse - Where or name means a great deal

Chapelhouse Charity Giveaway - The Results!

Last year, the Chapelhouse Board of Directors set aside £40,000 with the express aim of supporting local charities. We feel it's our duty to give back to our local community, who have supported us as a business for over 35 years!

It was left open to our valued Chapelhouse customers to nominate the charities which they felt deserved the funds the most.

We had received almost 2,000 nominations and it took Chapelhouse Chairman and Owner, Nick Coen, several weeks to whittle down the charities, although we could have picked many more worthy causes to donate to!

The chosen charities operate in the same regions as Chapelhouse, as we felt they deserved recognition for their excellent and ongoing work they provide to our communities, especially at a time when funding can be very difficult to come by.

Nick visited each of the chosen charities personally to deliver the all-important cheque and to see first-hand the invaluable work that goes on behind the scenes.

Queenscourt Hospice provides exceptional compassionate care and support for the people of West Lancashire, Southport and Formby. Over 70,000 have benefitted from their care since opening in 1991. They care for patients with serious illnesses, enabling them to achieve the best possible quality of life at each new stage.

Sadly, Queenscourt is currently facing a funding crisis and will have to cut services, and could even face closure, in the next 18 months, if additional funding isn't found, meaning support from the local community is vital.
