Brand new MG4 EV XPOWER available now

The MG4 EV XPOWER - MG's new high performance electric hot hatch - is available to order as of July 2023. 

The XPOWER is priced at just £36,495, with the range topper offering breathtaking power and dynamics at an extremely competitive price. It is capable of 0-62mph in an electrifying 3.8 seconds. 

The XPOWER will make its world debut at the upcoming Goodwood Festival of Speed. 

The powerful new electric hatchback features a dual motor powertrain that delivers 435PS (the equivalent of 429bhp) and up to 600Nm of torque.  

This firmly positions the XPOWER not only as MG's most powerful car to date, but as one of the most potent and affordable high-performance EVs on the market.

The new XPOWER introduces subtle exterior design and specification enhancements to the MG4 range.

Orange 'XPOWER' brake calipers have been added, along with a two-tone black roof, 18-inch alloy wheels and polished trim accents. The XPOWER also comes as standard in the stunning new Racing Green colour.

“The XPOWER also retains the generous technology and equipment levels, as well as practical hatchback features of the award-winning MG4 range.” 

The XPOWER has a WLTP Combined driving range of 239 miles, which jumps up to a maximum of 328 miles based purely on city driving. The rapid charging time of just 35 minutes stays in line with the rest of the MG4 range. 

Built on MG's Modular Scalable Platform (MSP), the XPOWER is equipped with an all-new motor configuration that delivers up to 320kW to all four wheels. 

The new all-wheel drive system delivers improved traction, stability, and enhanced safety with active braking. 

An all-new Dynamic Cornering Control System will be available for the first time on an MG mode, featuring a locking electronic differential and Intelligent Motor Control to allow torque vectoring between all four wheels. This generates maximum traction in a wide range of driving conditions. 

A series of suspension upgrades have also been completed. These feature recalibrated spring and damper tuning, stiffer anti-roll bars and sharper steering. Overall suspension stiffness has been increased by up to 25%, meaning the MG4 XPOWER will build upon the acclaimed handling characteristics of the current MG4 models.
