MG has released images and pricing details of the all-new MG HS. The brand has revealed a bold new design with a comprehensive update for the company's best-selling SUV.

The 2023 MG HS promises to continue to offer customers outstanding value for money. The new HS retains the same pricing structure as the outgoing model. The generously equipped SE Standard Edition trim starts from just £23,495 on the road.

New 2023 MG HS design

Following its extensive redesign, the new HS debuts a sharper, more aggressive appearance. New bi-function LED headlights, a bold grille design and a new front bumper have all been added. They work together to create an enhanced look that re-establishes the HS as MG's largest and most luxurious SUV.

At the rear, a new bumper design, revised dual exhaust outlets and LED taillights complete the contemporary new styling update. The new HS has also received a refreshed 18-inch diamond cut alloy wheel design.

David Allison is the Head of Product and Planning at MG Motor UK. He said: “Since launch in 2019, the HS has been a tremendous success with over 36,000 finding homes in the UK.

“It continues to deliver all the benefits of a high-quality large SUV, while undercutting smaller, more modestly equipped options on the market. We believe the latest HS will be even more attractive to customers, especially as we are able to offer it with no increase in price across the range.”

Outgoing MG HS

There are two new trim levels for the new HS. The entry SE model and the higher Trophy spec are replacing the outgoing Excite and Exclusive.

The SE and Trophy both offer a comprehensive level of equipment and the choice of a dual clutch DCT automatic gearbox. A manual gearbox is available as standard with a 1.5-litre petrol engine.

The new MG HS retains the impressive amount of space and comfort of the previous generation model. The 10.1-inch infotainment system that has also received an upgrade, with enhanced hardware that allows for faster and smoother functionality.

The HS SE includes front and rear sequential indicators for the first time. These come along with air conditioning, Sat Nav, rear parking camera with sensors, rain sensing wipers, keyless entry, and a leather steering wheel as standard.

The Trophy spec starts from £25,995. It receives all the above plus leather upholstery, heated front seats, dual zone climate control, ambient interior lighting, rear privacy glass, and an upgraded 6-speaker audio system.
