Suzuki ranked highly in What Car? Reliability Survey 2024

Once again, Suzuki has achieved a very strong score in the latest What Car? Reliability Survey for 2024.

The brand, well-known throughout the motoring industry for its excellent track record of customer reliability, recorded a remarkable score of 97.75%, placing it just 0.6% behind the overall winner.

Two Suzuki models also ranked high inside the top ten most reliable cars in their respective classes. The Suzuki Vitara scored a very impressive 97.7% in the small SUV category, with the Suzuki Swift supermini finishing with a highly commendable 95.7%.

Claire Evans is the consumer editor of What Car? She said: “Suzuki is consistently in the top five brands for reliability with owners. No wonder, then, that half of the Swift and Vitara owners responding to our survey told us that dependability was one of the things that they liked most about their cars!”

Suzuki drivers have further peace of mind, with up to seven years warranty offered on their car at no extra cost. Suzuki's 7-year/100,000-mile warranty can be activated by the owner booking their car in for its annual service with a Suzuki dealer, once it has gone past its original 3-year warranty period.

Hybrid and plug-in hybrid cars were noted in the survey across all 31 brands to be the least likely type of model to go wrong, despite their internal combustion engine and electric motor combination. Suzuki's hybrid technology is standard across all its new cars, adding that extra layer of reliability.

The long-established reliability survey is carried out each year by the motoring publication, with it measuring the experiences from owners of vehicles up to five years old. In this year's edition, almost 30,000 What Car? readers responded from across 31 manufacturers.
