MG4 EV named ‘Best Small Electric Car’ by What Car?
The MG4 EV has picked up where it left off last year, by hoovering up motoring awards. This time, it has been named 'Best Small Electric Car' at the 2023 What Car? Awards.
Recognised as a trusted, independent, and expert voice in the motoring world, What Car? praised the MG4 as offering excellent value for money without compromising on quality.
The MG4 EV can achieve up to a maximum 365 miles of range from a single charge, and starts at just £26,995.
You won't need to hang around at the charging point for long either. The SE Long Range and Trophy Long Range versions of the MG4 can be charged from 10-80% in just 35 minutes, using a 150kW rapid charger.
The What Car? judging panel said: “Given the rising cost of living, and the fact that electric cars tend to be quite expensive to buy, the MG4 EV - with its very keen pricing - feels like the right car at the right time. And crucially, corners haven't been cut to achieve that pricing.
“In addition to undercutting rivals by thousands, the MG4 offers fast charging, plenty of space and lots of standard equipment. What's more, it's good to drive and comes with the reassurance of a seven-year warranty.”

The MG4 became the second most popular model in just three months, with around 3,000 units of the award-winning electric hot hatch delivered between September and December.
The all-new MG5 received great interest since its November launch too. Growing demand is expected to continue in 2023.
The MG4 was the first model to be built upon MG's brand new Modular Scalable Platform (MSP), which has helped it claim three overall UK Car of the Year titles in just its first three months. .
The MSP allows it to travel longer distances than its EV rivals without having to stop and charge as often, and also gives you the option to swap batteries.
