Suzuki Swift named ‘Best Small Car’ by Top Gear

The Suzuki Swift has collected another major motoring accolade, being named as Best Small Car for 2024 at the TopGear.com awards.

The new Swift, which was launched earlier this year, came out on top following rigorous testing by the Top Gear team against its key market rivals.

Top Gear's Deputy Editor Ollie Kew said: “The new Swift is cheap to buy, cheap to run, fun to drive, unpretentious, comfortable, practical and likeable. Isn't that all you could want from a small car?”

Suzuki GB PLC boss David Kateley was on hand to collect the award from Top Gear Editor Jack Rix and motoring expert Natalie Pinkham at the ceremony held at BBC Television Centre in London.

The Swift was previously named 'Best Affordable Hybrid 2024/25' by Best Cars of the Year.

The Suzuki Swift underwent a massive transformation in 2024, with a radical new design and a huge upgrade in tech. The entry-level Motion trim offers 16-inch wheels, LED headlights, navigation, rear view camera, rear parking sensors, heated front seats, Adaptive Cruise Control, wireless smartphone link, keyless entry & start, lane departure warning and blind spot monitor - all as standard!

The top spec Ultra model adds polished alloy wheels, automatic air conditioning, rear passenger heater outlet, and electric folding door mirrors that incorporate side turn indicators. Performance was further fine-tuned too, with an improved 55.4MPG and CO2 emissions reduced to just 99g/km.

The Suzuki Swift is now available at Chapelhouse Suzuki with up to 7 years warranty!
