Suzuki Ignis named ‘Most Reliable City Car’ by Which?

The Suzuki Ignis Hybrid has been named as the 'Most Reliable City Car' by the consumer advice brand, Which? 

The Which? test team heaped praise on the Ignis for a number of factors. It is the only city car on the market with optional four-wheel drive. The Ignis also garnered acclaim for its low fuel consumption and fantastic fuel economy. 

Thanks to Suzuki's mild hybrid system, the Ignis can achieve an excellent 56.9mpg according to the Combined WLTP fuel consumption figures with CO2 emissions of just 112g/km.

Its five-star reliability also won plaudits from Which? The Ignis has a full five-star Euro NCAP safety rating and the fitting of Autonomous Emergency Braking is standard.

The Ignis SZ-T starts at just £17,349. It comes loaded with a high level of equipment and mild hybrid technology as standard. 

Dual Camera Brake Support, Lane Departure Warning, LED headlights, air conditioning, sliding rear seats, rear view camera and Apple CarPlay all are included.

The top spec Suzuki Ignis SZ5 model comes in at £18,349 and has the option of Suzuki ALLGRIP - Suzuki's four-wheel drive technology.  

The ALLGRIP Auto version that can be found in the Ignis SZ5 reacts when it detects slippage in the front wheels. The 4x4 technology kicks in automatically to transfer additional torque and keeps you steady on the road. 

Suzuki is a brand well known and respected for its reliability and customer care. 

In January, Suzuki was ranked as the top car brand for customer care in the Institute of Customer Service's UK Customer Satisfaction Index. The brand also won the 'Trusted Quality Provider' award at the UK Customer Satisfaction Awards 2023. 

As of April 2023, Suzuki has also launched its brand-new warranty scheme - Service Activated Warranty. This allows for Suzuki drivers to extend their normal manufacturer warranty period each year as long as they have their car serviced at a Suzuki Approved Dealer, such as Chapelhouse. The warranty plan stays in place up to a maximum vehicle age of seven years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first.
